OPEN CALL FOR STORY SUBMISSIONS!

Death Rattle & The Spill: Submission Call: For first hand accounts dealing with the unsettling, the horrifying, the unexplainable, and the downright spooky.

Have you had an encounter with that beyond the veil? We are on the hunt for brave souls who have encountered true-life horror stories. Speakers have 6 minutes or less to share their horrifying encounters during the online event held on Zoom. This series features terrifying true tales of the supernatural, told by people locally and from across the globe.

We are looking for stories that range from close encounters with hauntings, shadow people, the instinct that saved you from a potential true-crime incident; demonic encounters and cryptozoology nightmares to lived urban legends; true-crime, 6th senses, UFO sightings, curses or passed-down folklore.

We want your personal tales of that haunted doll you ended up regretting getting on Ebay, encounters with a backwoods creature you thought was only from the stories that we tell one another around the campfire, spine shivering experiences with people who had bad intentions, the night spent in an abandoned house that was never really vacated, your recurring night terrors and brushes with monsters that claw deep within the darkness. Share your endless nights and shrieking tales..if you dare.

THE SPILL: TALES OF THE UNEXPLAINED II

Hauntingly true stories told live: featuring stories of the supernatural, frightening, creepy, and macabre

Costumes highly encouraged, spookiness guaranteed!

Submit to tell your story! 5-6 minute storytelling slot, told without the use of notes (like you would tell a friend)! Email or DM a brief description of your tale to deathrattlewriter@gmail.com to sign up for a storytelling slot.

If you have any preferences about your story and how you present information (i.e. having your camera off / username rather than your real name for anonymous purposes) please let us know.

Rules Round up!

Rule # 1: The use of hate speech of any kind will result in immediate banishment. I.e. Racial slurs, body shaming, ableist, classist, homophobic or transphobic remarks or anything else that we define as hateful or racist.

Rule # 2: Each storyteller has 5 minutes to relate their tale. When your time is up we will give you a warning sound effect, which means that you have 1 minute to wrap up your story. Please pay close attention to your time; sometimes it is helpful to practice beforehand to make sure that you can tell your whole story in 5 minutes or less.

Rule # 3: Have fun and be respectful to those that are willing to share with us!
