work on inspiration, narrative & performance
June 18th | 6PM-8PM
At Nampa Public Library
2nd Floor Study Rooms

FREE OR DONATION
Bring a notebook if that’s your style!

Work on structuring a story, finding the gripping details to make your story kick, and crafting a meaningful ending. We want to help you generate a story and tell it at THE SPILL: WHY SO SERIOUS?!

The Spill: WHY SO SERIOUS is happening JUNE 28 at the @flyingmnampa at 6:30pm

The Spill is an open mic, true story telling night. Stories are 5-6 minutes without the use of notes, told candidly (like you would tell a friend!) Use this workshop to craft and sharpen a story to tell!

We’ll discuss different takes on structuring a basic narrative, how to find the right moments or details to pull your story together, how to look at different angles of the prompt, and discuss fun and easy performance tips. Come with an idea to workshop or get inspired during class! We’d love to help you generate and hone a story for the upcoming Spill featuring true stories told live on theme: “WHY SO SERIOUS?!” !

This Spill we will be exploring your Joker Origins:
Stories of entering your villain arc, you at your most conspiratorial, times you took things too seriously, a fundamental “bad day,” low stakes chaos, metaphorical transformation, rue the day moments, unfair occurrences, moments of deserved empathy, of living in “SOCIETY,” the everyday situations or minor inconveniences behind the madness.

Tell us all about it at The Spill: WHY SO SERIOUS!?
