Ari Herrera

Ari Herrera (she/they/he) is a Cuban American poet and video creator whose work seeks to unearth lost Caribbean immigration histories through visual and poetic speculations of cultural bereavement and identity. Their work frequently documents poetic narratives through multimedia integrations with video, familial photographs, and other ancestral heirlooms. They will also be a Poet-in-Residence at the Vermont Studio Center this coming October. 

Ari’s most recent professional work also engages with multimedia communications and creative scriptwriting for nationally-recognized educational technology projects at the University of South Florida.
