Sami Helgeson

Sami Helgeson is a poet and artist with a degree in environmental science. Sami's work focuses on home, trauma, and youth through the lenses of glaciers, tectonic forces, and queer girlhood. Their poems are rooted in memory and place and seek to probe at understandings of resilience and chance. Her poetry has been recently published in the River & South Review, Barzakh Magazine, and Everybody Press Review. Their work has received support from the Lighthouse and Kenyon Review Writers Workshops.
