Mong Kok
One of the
Most
Densely
Populated
Areas,
of
Hong Kong,
or perhaps,
the world...
Mong Kok.
Mong: Crowded, Popular;
Kok: Corner,
The literal translation of the
2 words
Speaks for
Itself.
When you
Walk out of
The Signature
Red MTR station,
The flaming heat
created by the
Stuffiness of the
Crowd,
would be the
First thing
That you could
Notice...
The
Spreading Web
of the MTR exits
would
Lead you to
One of its
Arterial Ends:
Local Traditions vs. and
Extreme Modernity;
East vs. and
West;
Forced Relocations vs. and
Aggressive Expansions;
Small Businesses vs. and
Giant Conglomerates;
Hostile Oppositions vs. and
Harmonious Blends.
Regardless of the
‘Kok(s)’ you
Finally
Land your Feet
On,
It’s still
The
Very
Crowded Corner---
(of) The
Very
‘Mong Kok’.
